01Data controller

Lakay Games, an independent studio based in France (see the website's Legal notice), is the controller for the processing described on this page. For any question about your data: support@lakaygames.com, subject "KOURI! personal data".

02Game data

• No account is needed to play. Your progress, coins, settings and skins (character outfits) are saved locally on your device. Deleting the game erases this data.
• The game collects no name, email address, contacts, precise location or photos.
• Anonymous technical information (device model, OS version, crash reports) may reach us through Apple's or Google's diagnostic tools, depending on your device settings.
• If you create a profile, your record scores are also sent to our server for the leaderboards (see "Profile and leaderboards").

03Profile and leaderboards (online play)

Since version 1.1, KOURI! offers an account-free player profile and leaderboards (monthly, by country, all time). This part is optional: the game remains fully playable without a profile. - What you choose: a nickname (visible to other players in the leaderboards), a country flag and an avatar among those of the game. Nicknames are filtered; Lakay Games may change an offensive or misleading nickname and suspend a cheating profile. To report a nickname: support@lakaygames.com. - What the game sends: the score, distance, coins and duration of your runs, the platform (iOS or Android) and the game version, in order to build the leaderboards and discard implausible scores. - How you are recognised: a technical player identifier created by Unity Authentication (Unity Technologies) without email or password. On iOS it can be linked to your Game Center account (a player identifier provided by Apple, never your name) to recover your profile on another device. - Where: on a Lakay Games server hosted in France (OVH). The IP address is used only to limit abuse and is not kept with your profile. - Deletion: write to support@lakaygames.com with your nickname; the profile and scores are erased within one month.

04Advertising (Google AdMob)

KOURI! is free and funded by advertising served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). Two formats only: videos you choose to watch in exchange for a reward (continue a run after a fall, double the coins of a run) and short ad screens at the end of some runs. Never any advertising during the run.

To serve and measure these ads, Google may process your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) if you allow it, your approximate IP address, information about the device and the app, and your interactions with the ads.

• On first launch, a consent form (in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland) lets you accept or refuse personalised advertising; on iOS, the system also asks for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency).
• You can change your choice at any time in the game's Settings or in your device's privacy settings.
• Without consent, non-personalised ads are shown: they do not rely on your profile.
• The "Remove ads" purchase permanently removes the end-of-run ad screens; rewarded videos remain available, only at your request.

05In-app purchases

Purchases (individual skins, "Remove ads") are processed exclusively by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). Lakay Games never receives your payment details: we only obtain an anonymous purchase confirmation used to unlock the content and restore it on your devices ("Restore my purchases" button in the game). Refunds follow Apple's and Google's rules.

06Children

KOURI! suits a wide audience but is not specifically aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or under the digital age of consent applicable in your country. Personalised advertising is never enabled without consent. Parents: if you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.

07Legal bases (GDPR)

• Your consent: personalised advertising, tracking permission.
• Our legitimate interest: securing the game and showing non-personalised ads that fund this free game.
• Performance of a contract: processing in-app purchases and restoring purchased content.
• Our legal obligations: keeping certain accounting records.
• Performance of a contract and our legitimate interest: the profile and leaderboards you choose to use, cheating prevention.

08Retention periods

• Game data: on your device, for as long as the game is installed.
• Advertising data: according to Google AdMob's retention periods; we keep no copy.
• Purchase confirmations: for as long as needed to restore your purchases and meet our accounting obligations.
• Messages sent to support: up to 3 years after the last exchange.
• Online profile and scores: for as long as your profile exists, erased within one month of your request; past months' leaderboards keep the nickname of ranked players unless erasure is requested.

09Recipients and transfers outside the European Union

Your data is neither sold nor rented. It may be processed by our service providers, each for its own task: Google LLC (AdMob advertising, Google Play), Apple Inc. (App Store, Game Center, diagnostics), Unity Technologies (Unity Authentication: player identifier), OVH SAS (hosting of our server, in France). The American providers are located in the United States; transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

10Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Depending on where you live, equivalent rights may apply, for example in California or the United Kingdom.

To exercise them: support@lakaygames.com. We reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or the data protection authority of your country.

11Changes

This policy may evolve, in particular when a feature is added to the game. The version number and update date appear at the top of the page; in the event of a significant change, a notice will be published in the website's news.
