01Who is the data controller

Lakay Games, an independent studio based in France (see the Legal notice), is the controller for the processing described on this page. For any question about your data: support@lakaygames.com, subject "Personal data".

02On lakaygames.com

• Forms (contact, newsletter, project request): the information you enter (name, email address, company, message, indicative budget) is sent to us by secure email and is not stored in any database on the site.
• Technical logs: like any host, OVH keeps connection logs (IP address, date, pages viewed, browser) for security and the proper operation of the service.
• No advertising cookies, no social network pixels, no third-party audience measurement tools. The site's Q&A assistant runs entirely in your browser and never sends your messages to a server.
• An invisible anti-bot field protects the forms; it collects nothing about real visitors.

03In our mobile games (KOURI!, Manje Lakay)

• No account is required. Your progress, coins, settings and outfits are saved locally on your device. Deleting the game erases this data.
• We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, precise location or photos.
• Anonymous technical information (device model, OS version, crash reports) may reach us through Apple's or Google's diagnostic tools, depending on your device settings.

04Advertising in the free games

KOURI! and Manje Lakay are free and funded by advertising served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). Two formats only: videos you choose to watch in exchange for a reward (continue a run, double your coins) and short ad screens at the end of some runs, never during play.

To serve and measure these ads, Google may process your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) if you allow it, your approximate IP address, information about the device and the app, and your interactions with the ads.

• On first launch, a consent form (in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland) lets you accept or refuse personalised advertising; on iOS, the system also asks for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency).
• You can change your choice at any time in the game's Settings or in your device's privacy settings.
• Without consent, non-personalised ads are shown: they do not rely on your profile.
• The "Remove ads" purchase permanently removes the ad screens.

05In-app purchases

Purchases (outfits, ad removal) are processed exclusively by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). Lakay Games never receives your payment details: we only obtain an anonymous purchase confirmation used to unlock the content and restore it on your devices. Refunds follow Apple's and Google's rules.

06LOUGAWOU and our PC games

On Steam, purchases, achievements and community features are operated by Valve Corporation under its own privacy policy. The game stores its saves locally and does not collect personal data.

07Children

Our games suit a wide audience but are not specifically aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or under the digital age of consent applicable in your country. In the games, personalised advertising is never enabled without consent. Parents: if you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.

08Legal bases (GDPR)

• Your consent: newsletter, personalised advertising, tracking permission.
• Our legitimate interest: answering your messages, securing the site and the games, showing non-personalised ads that fund our free games.
• Performance of a contract: processing in-app purchases and restoring purchased content.
• Our legal obligations: keeping certain accounting records.

09Retention periods

• Messages and project requests: up to 3 years after the last exchange.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe (link in every email, or a simple message).
• Host technical logs: 12 months at most.
• Advertising data: according to Google AdMob's retention periods; we keep no copy.
• Game data: on your device, for as long as the game is installed.

10Recipients and transfers outside the European Union

Your data is neither sold nor rented. It may be processed by our service providers, each for its own task: OVH SAS (hosting, France), Google LLC (AdMob advertising, Google Play), Apple Inc. (App Store, diagnostics), Valve Corporation (Steam). Some of these providers are located in the United States; transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

11Your rights

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time and to set instructions for your data after your death. Depending on where you live, equivalent rights may apply, for example in California or the United Kingdom.

To exercise them: support@lakaygames.com. We reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or the data protection authority of your country.

12Security

The site is served over HTTPS, the forms travel through an encrypted connection and access to the studio's mailboxes is protected. As no method is infallible, please never send sensitive information through a form.

13Changes

This policy may evolve, in particular when a game or service is added. The update date appears at the top of the page; in the event of a significant change, a notice will be published in the site's news.
