We promised it on iOS launch day: Android wouldn't be far behind. Done. KOURI! is now on Google Play, free, for every Android phone. Mounpoumoun now runs in everyone's pocket, and Black still has no intention of slowing down.
Same game, both phones
It's exactly the same KOURI! as on iPhone: the red-earth road, the tap-taps, the moto-taxis bursting round the corner, the market women under their umbrellas, and Black, the police officer, always right behind you. One thumb is enough. Run, jump, slide, and last as long as you can.
The rules we set for ourselves hold on Android too: no ads during the run, ever. The only videos are the ones you choose to watch to keep going after a fall or double your coins. Mounpoumoun's outfits are sold one by one, at a visible price, with no loot boxes.
What's changed since launch
In three weeks the game has already grown, on iOS and Android alike:
- A profile: your nickname, your flag, and forty avatars so people recognise you at a glance.
- Leaderboards: this month's and all-time, worldwide or just your country. Every month starts from zero, so everyone gets a shot.
- Small things that matter: a daily reminder to come back and beat your record, smoother runs, and a wave of fixes reported by the first players. Thank you.
All of it is in version 1.2 on Google Play and in the latest update on the App Store.
And for the lives: Moun pou Moun
If you follow our TikTok lives, you know we love a duel. So we built a proper stage for it. Moun pou Moun pits two players against each other, and the audience picks a side in candy, live, with the scores moving on screen. No money, just candy and pride. The page is open to everyone; see you at the next live.
Thank you
A Haitian runner on both stores, made by a small studio from Lakay, was a slightly crazy promise a few months ago. It's kept thanks to you, who downloaded, tested, complained when it broke, and shared your scores. Keep going: tell us what you want next, and above all, run.
Pa gen kanpe.
